carnegie museum of natural history

On New Year's Day, I wrote out my Pittsburgh Bucket List. On the last day of January, I crossed one of my goals off the list--Visit the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

I honestly had no idea what to expect--I had never even driven past it. It's just not an area I visit much. But we had a great time. It really helped that we went with a friend who had been there before--in fact, they were members, so it was almost like we had our own tour guides.

We visited the dinosaurs, obviously.

Went on a fossil dig.

Played in the kids' area.

Rode in a boat.

 And just played with friends.

We saw so many areas of the museum and ended up getting too tired to even see the Egyptian area, but they obviously had so much fun.

Sidenote: As we were entering the Liberty Tunnel to head into the city, I realized I forgot my camera and only had my phone. Thankfully, Robin of Robin Kimberly Photography took all these great photos and let me use them over here. :)

If you've looked at my bucket list (or even if you haven't), what should I hit up in PGH next?

  1. Looks like fun! The pictures are great! I'm going to see an Ezra Jack Keats (The Snowy Day) exhibit tomorrow and I'm pumped. Don't you love living in a big city?

    2. Yes I hope I can take pictures too! I'll be sure to blog about it if I'm allowed to snap a few pictures. I know, I know I need to get over there. I met someone from Pittsburgh the other night actually!
