BIG NEWS!

I know I promised an announcement this week, and I just realized the week is almost over. Oops. This is pretty much relevant to local readers only, but it is really exciting.

Last year, thanks to Tottums over at Froggy & the Mouse, I finally got up the courage to gather up a small portion of the clothes that we had packed up in our basement and sell them at our local Just Between Friends consignment sale. After reading through all the incentives, I realized that through volunteering for a few hours, I had a chance at the exclusive pre-sale AND a higher take-home percentage on my sales. Well. I am a sucker for exclusives AND bargains. Sign me up.


This year, I'm excited to announce that I'm partnering with JBF Pittsburgh North as their Social Media Marketing Volunteer! What does this mean, exactly? Exactly what it sounds like: instead of volunteering at the sale, I'm helping the directors keep their finger on the pulse on all the areas of social media (basically the ones I'm already addicted to): Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Pinterest, in addition to marketing in a few other areas (i.e. Craigslist).

It should be noted that this is a strictly volunteer position, but I do get the same benefits as other volunteers.

Important dates to remember are:

March 14: Registration for consignors & volunteers
May 18-20: Spring sale at RMU Sports Dome
